Last month, my e-newsletter described recent new construction and other encouraging signs in Richton Park.  In the next few weeks, we will be fortunate enough to celebrate some grand openings and other events here in Richton Park.  The details about the upcoming events are included in the news below.

RICHTON PARK BUSINESS RECEPTION – 19 AUG 09, 7:30 PM

The Richton Park Economic Development Office will be hosting a business persons’ reception on Wed. 19 AUG 09 at 7:30 PM at the Ark Restaurant, located at Cicero and Sauk Trail.  There will be food and fun at the reception, but we also have some great information to share with you:

Stop by Lakewood Plaza on Saturday 31 OCT 2009 from Noon to 3PM for the grand opening of the New Lakewood Plaza!  There will be free face painting, free caricatures, a free inflatable jumping house for the kids and you’ll get to meet some of the new businesses in the Plaza. The Richton Park Merchants Chamber is pleased to announce the 2^nd annual Richton Park Village-wide Garage Sale.  The Garage Sale will be held at the Metra Commuter Parking lot at Governors Highway and Sauk Trail on Saturday 12 SEP 2009 from 9 AM to 1 PM (Sat 19 SEP 2009, in the event of rain).  You may register at the Richton Park Parks and Recreation Department.  Early registration is strongly encouraged.  Booths cost $20 per space—some restrictions and discounts may apply, visit Richton Park Parks and Recreation to register today!

This year, the Merchants Chamber is offering free booths to Home Based Businesses in Richton Park who wish to share their products and services.  To qualify, register soon with the Parks and Recreation Department.
